Individual Allied Membership
Created to promote communication among all members of the design and construction team, individual allied membership is open to engineers, planners, landscape architects, sculptors, muralists, artists, and those in government, education, journalism, manufacturing industry, and other fields allied to architecture. Individuals must not be otherwise eligible for membership in the Institute. Download the allied membership application.

Cornerstone Partners
A special partnership exists among the AIA, the American Architectural Foundation, and corporations, building product manufacturers, service providers, and trade associations within the design and construction community. This membership program promotes stronger communication, enriched working relationships, development of industry standards, and enhanced project delivery among those engaged in building industry research, design, development, testing, manufacture, distribution and/or training. Benefits are tailored specifically for related corporations and provide a host of opportunities for connection to and collaboration with practicing architects. For a membership application, contact Lori Sousa, the AIA’s director of corporate sponsorship, 202-626-7345.
