For the Boska, Rojkind transformed a windowless space into a virtual forest retreat by creating a deck area that takes guests through the tunnel-like entrance and then unfolds in the main room (image 9), wrapping the ceiling and creating another platform. With a backdrop of lush and leafy interior prints (image 10), commissioned from photographer Lara Becerra, the room lost its sense of claustrophobia. Photo © Jaime Navarro
