Lever House – Curtain Wall Replacement

New York City
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP/ William T. Georgis, Architect

When Lever House opened in 1952, it was New York's first commercial office building to be wrapped entirely in glass. Now the original architects have returned as design consultants for a restoration of the famous curtain wall. And William T. Georgis redesigned the lobby, which you can experience in the walk through below.

Also, download a PDF file of RECORD's original coverage of Lever House, and an advertisement that appeared in the same issue.
