MoMA QNS
Long Island City, NY
Cooper, Robertson & Partners &
Michael Maltzan Architecture, Inc.

The Museum of Modern Art relocated temporarily to a former stapler warehouse in Queens, turning MoMA into MoMA QNS, at least for a few years. Thousands of tourists and MoMA denizens have made the trip from West 53rd St. out to Long Island City to visit old friends like Matisse and Van Gogh. With RECORD, you can make the trip as well, even if you're not in New York. A short film by Susannah Shepherd takes you on the 7 train from Midtown to Long Island City, and then up onto the roof. And an interactive walk-through will let you catch your breath from that trip, and take a look around.

Plus see the people and products behind the making of this project.

Note: You will need RealPayer to view the movie and Quicktime to view the walkthrough. Both can be downloaded for free: Quicktime website, RealPlayer Website.
