Sublime American Design
New York City
Leven Betts Studio

By William Weathersby, Jr.

"To err is human; to forgive divine." We would add to that, "to shop sublime." Now there is truly such a spot to search for contemporary and early 20th-century furniture and accessories, Sublime American Design in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood. Designed by Leven Betts Studio, the new gallery and showroom is an outpost of home design with a refined aesthetic and an artsy edge, with some pieces designed by architectural giants like Richard Neutra and newer generations of crossover practitioners. To enhance the roundup of furniture selections we feature in February 2004 in print, here is a full tour of Sublime's wall-to-wall offerings. Consider it a new Style Central.
