A new transfer hub for buses as well as a facility for car- and van-pools now occupies a five-acre site off of the city’s congested Interstate 80.

The structure’s 400-stall parking area contains a telecommuting center, an 11,000-square-foot office building for Fairfield-Suisun Transit, and 10 covered bus bays. Planned retail includes a newsstand and coffee/flower shop.

Photovoltaic cells on the parking structure power the facility's electric vehicle charging ports. Daylighting and low-maintenance landscaping both beautify and reduce noise and heat. Landscaping that utilizes drought-tolerant foliage mitigates highway noise, radiant heat, and storm water runoff.
