This 7,000-square-foot, three-story flagship boutique represents the first phase in a project that will ultimately encompass all six stories of the existing building. The first and second levels display accessories and women’s apparel, the third features men’s apparel, and the upper three floors will eventually house offices and showrooms. This debut store exhibits an air of restraint with an austere modern refinement and casual elegance.

The existing limestone façade reveals a balanced composition that remains true to the character of the neighborhood. Limestone floors bring warmth to the sparse interior of the building, complemented by bold nickel merchandise displays.

The boutique interior reproportions existing spatial volumes. A dramatic double-height entry and triple-height backlit stair atriums encourage vertical flow through the store. The floating west wall undulates through all three stories, functioning as both a place for display and an ambient light source, while accentuating the vertical motion. This design element also directs shoppers from the front to the back of the space, promoting accessibility.
