This 1877 facility now accommodates LGBT programs as well as meeting and social rooms available for use by other campus groups. The project includes restoration of the exterior and complete renovation of the interior.

The exterior design discreetly modifies the original brick and stone, whereas the interior deliberately differs and offers modern and minimalist style. The carriage space now functions as a lobby and reception area with a steel and concrete stairway, the ground floor stables become a multipurpose lounge, and the hayloft serves as a library, illuminated by a restored skylight.

The center occupies a growing residential region of the campus. Working in collaboration with the landscape designer, outdoor spaces integrate the project into students’ circulation patterns.
