Editor's Bookmarks - September 2011

Each month RECORD reviews building product related web sites and blogs that might be of interest to our readership. We visit each site, kick the tires a bit, and share what it is about and how it functions. Please let us know if there is a site you've found particularly useful, well-designed, or easy to navigate. — Rita Catinella Orrell

Tile of Spain

Tile of Spain, U.S. micro-site
Known for its colorful and durable tile products, Tile of Spain is introducing a new micro-site for U.S. architects, contractors, and designers. But don’t let “micro” fool you: the site is packed with a glossary of tile types, access to Continuing Education Units, a blog featuring tile manufacturers, and an extensive product specification index. Interested parties can also browse Tile of Spain-sponsored events, conferences, and competitions.

Duravit has a new online home for browsing and specifying bathroom products: Eschewing the typically clunky, disordered web pages of many manufacturing companies, Duravit’s new, streamlined site is attractive and easy to navigate. The site is complemented by Duravit’s micro-sites for sustainable products, world showrooms, and line of kitchen products.
