Ken is a licensed Architect in California and certified with Cal OES Safety Assessment Program. Currently, a project architect with HKIT Architects and part of the firm’s affordable housing and senior living project team, he works collaboratively with the team to define the project parameters, determine the design direction, and manage the program and budget through creative design solutions. Ken is passionate about combating climate change through sustainable design and promoting housing equality and community engagement in his works. As a member of AIA East Bay Chapter’s Board of Directors, Ken helps set the policy, provide the direction of the organization, and monitor the financial performance. As a member of the AIA California Council’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI Steering Committee), he is actively engaged in the promotion of a more equitable practice through diversification. As the co-chair of AIA East Bay Design Tour committee, he helps facilitate architectural tours. He received his Master of Architecture degree from the California College of the Arts in 2013.
